These are samples of glass pieces which have been hand painted before firing. The paint cures at approximately 1500 degrees, becoming part of the piece. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind original. The pieces can be slumped into a plate or bowl shape after the initial firing, or left in its flat form.

These bowls are make of gray opal fractured glass with transparent frit (crushed glass) allowing light to “leak” through. The Hi-Low mold gives it an interesting feel.

The sleeping giant is a mountain the lays on the horizon approximately 20 miles north of Helena Montana near the Gates of the Mountains Wilderness Area.

I started my career in fused glass by making glass baskets and crosses from strips of glass left over from my large glass and metal sculpture. My fused glass pieces eventually evolved into a complete line of functional and beautiful artwork. These baskets can be any shape and color under the sun. Not only are they beautiful, they are also completely functional. They are not as fragile as they look (we throw ours in the dishwasher about once a week!)

These are samples of kiln formed copper leaf inlay designs. These pieces are 100% glass that have been layed out and fired in a kiln. Each leaf is cut by hand from copper foil and embossed. Color combinations include several earthtones, mauves and greens with black. Click on the images to see the full-size photo.
